At the beginning of the new millennium preconceived Hermine and Franz-Peter Fuhrmann a courageous decision.
The winemaking family from the nearby Ellenz that previously there ran a small tavern with some guest rooms, took over the hotel in need of renovation Weinstuben Hieronimi in Cochem-Cond.

The over 200 year old building, originally built as a wine trading company with a huge vaulted cellar, had been recently performed as Hotel Garni and needed a major overhaul. With much zeal and dedication, the whole family went to the new task. So they put the beautiful stone masonry with the old beams free, put an antique doors, furnished and decorated with an interior that is somewhat reminiscent of knights and Culture councilor style. Stacked wooden barrels, wine presses and other lovingly collected utensils from the winemakers craft suit the new owners but also to the long winemaking tradition of the town of Cochem.

Within a year, so the formerly stuffy traditional hotel was transformed into a stylish hotel with a personal touch and several individually decorated guest rooms. This welcoming home could not be better situated. On the traffic-calmed side of the river, right on the water, there is almost out almost all the windows clear view of the magnificent imperial castle, the beautiful backdrop of the city and the opposite maintained Moselle promenade. Away from the bustle of the tourist crowds you still have the vibrant life of the city constantly in view, and in a few minutes in the old town.
